  <content type="html">The reason that &quot;bolt&quot; broke is that it is intended to when the load becomes too much for the auger. It's called a shear pin, and it does just that. When there is too much load placed on the auger, it shears, instead of the gears in the gearbox. I'd say take those bolts out, go down to a good hardware or power equipment store and ask them for two new shear pins. Maybe pick up a couple extra in case it happens again during a heavy snow. </content>
