Razrrific!!!11
So Verizon finally got the Razr! There have been a few CDMA Razr's on ebay from Asia that would work with Verizon but they were really expensive. I had heard rumors that Verizon was going to release the Razr soon...but they never gave a date. My two year contract was up at the end up November, so I decided to wait and go month by month until a cool phone came out.
One of the things that pisses me off about Verizon is that they cripple the bluetooth capabilites of the phones. They make it so you can only use the bluetooth with a wireless hands-free kit, not for Object Exchange (OBEX) which would allow you to sync the phone to your computer. They expect you use their "Get it Now" feature on the phone to let you buy ringtones and backgrounds and pay $0.25 a pixmsg to get pictures off the phone. But I have heard that the bluetooth is fully functional on Verizon's Razr. I don't have a bluetooth adapter on my computer yet so I can't test this.
One of the coolest features of the Razr is that it uses a standard mini-usb port for charging and data transfer. So if the battery is running low at work I can just plug a usb cable in and it'll charge it. This also makes data transfer pretty easy. There is a free driver for the phone from BVRP. Those are the Motorola USB modem drivers.
Once the drivers were installed I was able to access the filesystem on the phone using BitPim. This allows me to put files (ringtones, backgrounds) on the phone and take pictures off.
The only issue I've had so far with the phone was the clock lagging. Basically when the phone would go idle the clock wouldn't advance. Once it woke up it would then sync but still annoying. The answer was simply to turn the phone off and back on again. I actually read about people returning the phone multiple times and still having the problem. HAHA.

And I got the new LG VX 8100, with all the neat features. I bought a mini SD card for it and I can take pics and then put them on the card and put it directly into my Epson R300 printer.
Cheryl: I thought about getting the 8100, I had the vx-6000 before and really liked it.
Betsy: It's ok...I think Sidekicks are cool too. I just wouldn't use it enought to justify the purchase. As it is I don't use even most of the features of my phone. As long as I can use the phone and take a random picture of something funny, I'm happy.
Do you know where I can actually get BitPim from? I followed the link you had posted but found no cigar.
http://bitpim.org/ links to the sourceforge project files. This is probably what you are looking for: http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/bitpim/bitpim-0.62-setup.exe?use_mirror=easynews
