Liam's Christening
A couple of weekends ago we had the pleasure of attending the christening of our new nephew Liam. Rachelle was appointed his godmother so she was an important part of the ceremony.
This is the first christening I can remember attending so I didn't really know what to expect. I was pleased to find out the ceremony was rather short and not too crowded. They put him in a dress that I thought was kind of weird, but I guess it's traditional, and that exact one was worn by Rachelle and all her siblings when they were christened. The priest played a little game of 20 questions with the god parents-to-be, I guess to make sure they're worthy in the church's eyes. They passed the test. Then they dumped some water on the kid and that was that.
After the ceremony we all went back to Pat and Kristin's house (the parents) and had a party. It was a good time.

That's the godmother giving me that "stop taking pics of me" look; I'm pretty used to that glare by now. Next to her is Liam. This picture wasn't taken on that day, but a few days later by Rachelle's sister.
